Laravel development
Laravel development means building custom web-based systems in PHP using the Laravel framework: CRMs, customer portals, order management systems, admin panels and APIs. Saitai.lt's Laravel developers build systems around your processes and connect them to online stores and accounting software. We set the price and timeline after a free assessment of the task; a module or API usually takes 1–4 weeks, and a CRM 2–8 weeks.

Who it’s for
- Your process doesn't fit off-the-shelf software: rentals, production orders, service jobs, sites or contracts with their own rules.
- You pay a monthly per-user fee for off-the-shelf software, even though you don't use most of its features.
- Your data is scattered across Excel spreadsheets, emails and several programs, and you need it in one place.
- Your customers or partners need a self-service portal where they can log in and see their orders, documents and invoices.
- You need an API so that your online store, an app or a partner's system can exchange data with your system.
- You have an old PHP system that's hard to maintain, and you want to move it to Laravel while keeping your data.
When it’s not the right fit
- You need a public website with your services and news. A WordPress website is simpler and cheaper for that – from €499.
- You need a standard online store. A WooCommerce store costs from €999 and goes live sooner.
- Off-the-shelf software fits your process, and the monthly fee is acceptable to you. A custom system won't pay off – we'll tell you so during the consultation.
- You can't set aside time to discuss the process just yet. Designing a system takes at least a few hours of your time or that of an employee in charge.
Included
What you get
A data structure built around your process
We design the database – which records there are, how they relate and what statuses they have – so that the same customer or order is only entered once.
Admin panel
Lists, search, filters, forms and record pages for your staff. The system runs in the browser on computers and phones.
Users, roles and permissions
Each user sees and changes only what they're allowed to, and important actions are recorded in the change history.
API and integrations
A REST API for your app or partners, and connections to WooCommerce, accounting software, payment providers and courier services.
Automated jobs
Scheduled jobs and queues: overnight imports, reminders, reports by email, scheduled syncing.
Documents and reports
PDF invoices, contracts or certificates based on your template, export to Excel and reports at the click of a button.
Security
Protection against the most common attacks, role-based access permissions, HTTPS and daily backups when the system runs on our server.
Testing, user guide and warranty
You try out the features in a test environment before launch, you get a user guide, and for 12 months we fix bugs free of charge.
Price
How much does it cost to build a Laravel system?
Price
On request
We set the price of a Laravel system after a free assessment of the task, as it depends on the number of modules, roles and integrations. After the assessment, we give you a fixed price and timeline, which go into the contract. If you need a CRM or accounting software, their starting prices are listed on our custom CRM page.
Prices include all taxes – no VAT is added (we are not VAT-registered). The final price depends on the project: we put it and the timeline in the contract before work starts.
What the price depends on
- How many modules are needed: customers, orders, warehouse, documents, reports, a customer portal.
- How many user roles are needed, and how detailed the permissions must be.
- How many systems need connecting, and whether they have an API.
- Whether data needs moving from an old system or spreadsheets, and how much tidying it needs.
- Whether document templates, emails or SMS notifications are needed.
- The expected load: the number of users, records and requests.
Additional costs
- A custom Laravel system is hosted separately from websites: a virtual private server (VPS), with hosting and maintenance, from €29/month, sized to the scope of the system. We can also install the system on your own server.
- There's no Laravel licence fee, and no fee for each system user either.
- Fees for external services (SMS, email delivery or payment providers) – at their providers' rates.
- Further development after launch – under a separate quote, agreed in writing.
Timeline
How long does it take to build a Laravel system?
A small module or API takes 1–4 weeks, a CRM or accounting software 2–8 weeks, and a larger system with several integrations 6–12 weeks. We launch larger systems in stages: the core first, then reports and integrations.
| System | Example | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| API or module for an existing system | a REST API for an app, a supplier import, a reporting module | 1–4 weeks |
| CRM or accounting software | customers, orders, tasks, reports, roles | 2–8 weeks |
| Customer portal | customer login, orders, documents, invoices | 4–8 weeks |
| Custom system with integrations | several modules, accounting software, an online store, an API for partners | 6–12 weeks, in stages |
Process
How it works
- Free consultation1–2 working days
We discuss the process: who enters the data, who approves it and what reports are needed. Show us your spreadsheets, forms or current system.
- Specification and price2–5 working days
We list the modules, roles and integrations, and what isn't included in the first version. The fixed price and timeline go into the contract, and we start once we receive the 50% deposit.
- Database and screen prototype3–5 working days
We design the data structure and show you the main screens using samples of your data.
- Development in stages1–10 weeks
Every 1–2 weeks, we show you a working part in a test environment and take your feedback on board.
- Data migration and integrations1–5 working days
We import the data, connect the system to your other programs and check the result against the source.
- Launch and training1–2 working days
We launch the system on the live server, show users in each role how to work with it and hand over a user guide.
- Warranty and further development12 months
For 12 months, we fix bugs free of charge, and we assess new modules separately.
Comparison
Laravel, WordPress or off-the-shelf SaaS?
| Criterion | WordPress with plugins | Off-the-shelf SaaS | Custom system (Laravel) |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it's for | public websites and online stores | standard processes: CRM, invoicing, tasks | internal systems, portals and APIs built around your process |
| Upfront cost | website – from €499 | €0 + your time to set it up | after assessing the task; Excel → CRM from €990, business CRM from €1,900 |
| Ongoing costs | hosting from €60/year, plugin licences | a subscription, often per user | VPS (hosting and maintenance) from €29/month, no per-user fees |
| Non-standard logic | with plugins, to a limited extent | as far as the vendor allows | follows your rules |
| Integrations | via ready-made plugins | via the integrations the vendor offers | via API or import with systems that allow it |
| Code and data | open-source code, data on your hosting server | the vendor's cloud; data can be exported | the data is yours; CRM code is handed over, code for other systems as per the contract |
| Time to get started | from a few days | a few days (the fastest option) | 1–12 weeks, depending on scope |
Examples
Typical projects
Production order tracking
- Situation
- For example, a steel fabrication company tracks order stages – measuring, production, installation – on a whiteboard and coordinates them by phone, while customers keep calling to ask when their products will be delivered.
- Solution
- A Laravel system with order stages, assigned staff and deadlines. When a stage changes, the customer automatically gets an email, and the manager can see each employee's workload.
- Result
- A clear status for every order, fewer calls and an overview of how work is allocated for the manager.
An API for a mobile app
- Situation
- For example, a service company is planning an app for its customers, but its services, prices and orders are stored in a WooCommerce store and in accounting software.
- Solution
- An intermediate Laravel system with a REST API: the app gets services, prices and order statuses, and new orders are passed on to the online store and the accounting software.
- Result
- A single source of data for the app, the website and the accounting software.
Moving an old PHP system to Laravel
- Situation
- For example, a company has been using a custom-built PHP system for over 10 years. It doesn't work with newer PHP versions, and its developer can no longer be reached.
- Solution
- We analyse the database and features, rebuild the system in Laravel, keep the familiar workflow and migrate all the data.
- Result
- A system that can be safely updated and extended, with its work history preserved.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Because Laravel is a widely used open-source PHP framework with ready-made solutions for login, permissions, databases, queues and APIs. This shortens development time, and the code follows well-known conventions, so another Laravel developer can take over the system later. Laravel is free, with no licence fee.
