Automated reporting: Excel and Google Sheets reports without the manual work

We automate the reports someone currently pulls together by hand from several programs: data from Excel, Google Sheets, accounting software, your CRM or online store is collected automatically, and managers receive the report by email or in a spreadsheet on schedule – daily, weekly or monthly. If needed, AI adds a short summary of what the figures show. One report costs from €390; the timeline is 3–7 working days.

A good fit if

  • Every week or month a manager waits for a report that someone spends hours compiling from several programs and spreadsheets.
  • The same figures get copied from accounting software or the online store into Excel, and copying introduces mistakes.
  • Your team works in Google Sheets, but the data goes stale because it is updated by hand.
  • You want to spot changes in time – falling sales, overdue debts, shrinking stock – not find out at the end of the month.
  • The report layout is settled and the same every time – it just needs to build itself.

Not the best fit if

  • The report is different every time and prepared for a one-off decision – automating it won't pay off.
  • The data isn't in any system or is entered irregularly – you first need order in your data, for example in a CRM or accounting software.
  • You need an accounting or financial opinion signed by a professional: an automated report doesn't replace it, and the AI summary is not financial advice.
  • Your software has no data export or API at all – in that case we first check whether the data can be obtained at all.

We have hands-on experience building automated reports and syncing data with Google Sheets and Excel, as well as data collection and analysis tools. We don't name clients – our confidentiality agreements don't allow it.

Included

What you get

Automatic data collection

Data from Excel, Google Sheets, accounting software, your CRM or online store is pulled in via API, export or import – no manual copying.

The report in your format

The report is built the way you're used to: the same tables, metrics and charts, just without the manual work. If there's no template yet, we help you design one.

Scheduled delivery

Daily, weekly or monthly, the report lands in your inbox, refreshes in Google Sheets or is saved as an Excel or PDF file.

Google Sheets and Excel sync

The spreadsheets your team works in update automatically from your systems, so everyone sees the same figures.

AI summary of the figures

Optionally, AI writes a short note on what changed since the last period and what deserves attention. The figures themselves are calculated by formulas, not AI.

Alerts on exceptions

If a metric crosses a threshold you set – stock below minimum or an invoice overdue, say – you get a separate alert.

Checked before go-live

We compare the first automated reports with ones prepared by hand to make sure the figures match, and resolve any differences before launch.

Launch and 12-month warranty

We hand over a short description of where the data comes from and how each metric is calculated. Programming bugs are fixed free of charge for 12 months.

Price

How much does report automation cost?

One automated report costs from €390: the price covers data collection from your sources, the report layout, scheduled delivery and a check against a report prepared by hand. If you'd like to trial automating several reports or a more complex process first, we offer an AI pilot – from €590.

Prices are final – no VAT is charged (we are not VAT-registered). The final price depends on your data sources and the scope of the report; we set it, along with the timeline, in the contract before work starts.

What the price depends on

  • How many sources the data comes from and whether they have an API or export.
  • How much data needs cleaning or matching, for example different product codes in different programs.
  • How many metrics, tables and charts the report needs.
  • Whether you need an AI summary and exception alerts.
  • Where the report should go: email, Google Sheets, Excel or PDF.

Additional costs

  • Maintenance when data sources or the report layout change: €29/month, €59/month or €119/month, depending on scope.
  • AI model usage for summaries – by actual volume, with a monthly cap; usually small amounts.
  • A server (VPS) to run the reports, if one is needed – from €29/month.
  • Additional reports on the same data – quoted separately.

Timeline

How long does report automation take?

A report from one or two sources with a clear layout takes 3–7 working days from receiving access and a sample report. If data must be combined from several programs, or an AI summary and alerts added, the work takes 1–2 weeks.

Report typeWhat's includedTimeline
Simple report1–2 sources, existing layout, delivery by email or to Google Sheets3–7 working days
Multi-system reportaccounting, CRM, online store, data matching1–2 weeks

Process

How we work

  1. Free assessment1–2 working days

We look at your current report, where the data comes from and how long it takes, and tell you whether automating it pays off.

  2. Specification and fixed price1–2 working days

We document sources, metrics, formulas and schedule. Price and timeline go into the contract; work starts once the 50% deposit is paid.

  3. Access and data connections1–2 working days

We get read-only access to the systems needed and connect the data sources.

  4. Building the report1–3 working days

We build the report and charts and, if needed, the AI summary and alerts.

  5. Checking against your figures1–2 working days

Over several periods we compare the automated report with the manual one. We only go live once the figures match and you sign off.

  6. Launch and warranty12 months

We switch on the schedule and hand over the documentation. Programming bugs are fixed free of charge for 12 months.

Examples

Typical situations

These examples show how the solution works. They are not specific client cases – we don't name our clients.

Weekly online store sales

Situation
For example, an online store owner copies orders and stock levels into Excel every Monday to see the week's sales.
Solution
Every Monday orders and stock are pulled from the store, and a report with sales by category and products running low arrives by email.
Outcome
A weekly overview with no copying, plus a reminder of which products to reorder.

Overdue invoices report for finance and management

Situation
For example, at a services company the accountant exports a list of overdue invoices from the accounting software once a month and sends it to the director.
Solution
Every week, overdue invoices are pulled from the accounting software into a Google Sheet, grouped by client, and AI adds a short summary.
Outcome
A view of outstanding debts every week instead of once a month, and less manual work for the accountant.

Branch figures in one spreadsheet

Situation
For example, a company with several branches collects figures from separate Excel files that each branch fills in differently.
Solution
We standardise the template, the files are merged automatically, and a combined report refreshes in Google Sheets.
Outcome
One spreadsheet with all branches' figures and a clear routine for who enters data and when.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you automate a report from our accounting software?

In most cases, yes – via API, automatic export or import files. Before quoting, we check what data your software lets us access and how often. If it has no export at all, we'll tell you straight away.

Can AI make mistakes in the calculations?

AI doesn't do the calculations – formulas and the program do, and we check them against your manually prepared reports. AI only writes a short summary of figures that have already been calculated, and it should be read as supporting text: people make the decisions.

Can we keep working in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. The report can refresh in the same spreadsheets you're used to – the only change is that nobody has to copy data by hand any more.

What happens if the report layout or our software changes?

Small changes are covered by a maintenance plan – €29/month, €59/month or €119/month. If you switch accounting software or CRM, we rebuild the data connection under a separate quote.

Will our financial data be secure?

We connect to your systems with read-only access and keep data on your server or ours in the EU. If an AI summary is used, only the calculated metrics are sent to the model – not your whole database – via the API, where under the provider's terms data is not used to train models.
