What's the difference between a skill and an MCP connector?

A skill tells the assistant how to carry out a task, while an MCP connector gives it access to data and actions in your systems. They're often used together: the connector fetches the order details, and the skill tells the assistant how to turn them into a reply to the customer. Each skill and each connector counts as a separate tool.

Will the same skill work in both ChatGPT and Claude?

Often, yes, but not always in the same way. The skill format has been published as an open standard, and the MCP standard is supported by Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft tools, but what's possible varies by platform and subscription plan. Before signing the contract, we check the platform you use and, if necessary, adapt the skill for each one.

Is it safe to give an AI assistant access to our CRM?

Yes, as long as access is limited. We give the MCP connector only the permissions it needs – often read-only. The connector uses a separate login that you can revoke at any time, and its requests are recorded in a log. If the connector can write data, for example change a status, the assistant asks an employee to approve it first.

What happens to the skill if we switch AI assistants?

A skill's instructions and templates are ordinary text files, so they can be adapted for another platform. An MCP connector works with any assistant that supports it. We assess the adaptation work separately.

Can you turn our existing instructions into a skill?

Yes, and that's often the best place to start. We turn the procedures, sample quotes or prompts your staff already use into a structured skill and test it on real tasks. That usually also shows what's missing from the instructions.

When it’s not the right fit

Skills with calculation scripts or an MCP connector to your systems cost more – the price depends on the system and the number of actions.

Prices include all taxes – no VAT is added (we are not VAT-registered). The final price depends on the project: we put it and the timeline in the contract before work starts.

We choose where to host the MCP connector based on its size: a VPS we provide (sized to your needs) or your own server; the price depends on this too. MCP connector support on our VPS costs from €29/month and covers hosting and uptime monitoring.
New skills and changes after handover – under a separate quote, agreed in writing.

How long does it take to build a skill?

A single agent skill takes 1–2 weeks from receiving the deposit and examples. A skill made up only of instructions and templates is usually ready in about a week, and one with scripts or an MCP connector to your system in 1–2 weeks. A set of several skills can be built and handed over in stages.

Typical scenarios

Sales quotes from a single template

Situation: For example, the account managers at a signage and print company prepare quotes with ChatGPT, but every quote is structured differently, and prices are sometimes taken from an out-of-date price list.
Solution: A skill with the quote template, the current price list and tone-of-voice rules. A script calculates prices and discounts, and the assistant writes the text and produces a Word document.
Result: Quotes with the same structure, prices only from the current price list and fewer corrections from the manager.

Order status right in the chat

Situation: For example, an online store's customer service team writes replies with Claude, but looks up order statuses in the WooCommerce admin and copies them into the chat.
