Product catalogue, portal and classifieds website development
A product catalogue website presents your products or services by category, with technical data and an enquiry form, but without a basket or online payment. A portal also has user accounts: classified ads, profiles or several editors. Saitai.lt builds a product catalogue from €799, and prices portals after assessing the features you need.

Who it’s for
- You manufacture or distribute many products, but the price depends on quantity, installation or the customer, so you need an enquiry instead of a basket.
- Your product descriptions, technical data and certificates are currently scattered across PDF catalogues and emails.
- You represent a manufacturer in Lithuania and want to present the whole range of models with technical data.
- You are building a classifieds portal: users register and post ads themselves, and you earn from paid services.
- An association or organisation needs a news portal with several editors.
- You want a comparison website where models are compared by technical data.
- You plan to sell online later: the catalogue can be expanded into an online store without rebuilding it.
When it’s not the right fit
- You want buyers to pay for their order straight away. That calls for an online store (from €999), not a catalogue.
- You have a dozen or so products or services, and they rarely change. Service pages on a business website (from €499) are enough.
- Your portal idea hasn't been tested yet and your budget is limited. It is worth launching a simpler version first – for example, a catalogue without accounts – and expanding once you have users.
- You need wholesale customer orders with individual prices and credit terms. That is a B2B online store, which we build as a custom project.

Included
What you get
Categories and product pages
Each product or service has its own page with photos, a description, a table of technical data and downloadable PDF documents.
Search and filters
Buyers find a product by name or code. We design filters by attribute – such as size, power or material – around the way your customers choose; they are not included in the catalogue price from €799, and we quote them based on the type and number of filters.
Enquiry for each product
Instead of a basket, there is a "Request a price" button: the enquiry, with the product name, goes straight to your inbox and, if needed, into your CRM.
Product import
We can import your initial data from Excel, CSV or a supplier's XML file, so you don't have to enter each product by hand. Importing is not included in the catalogue price from €799 – we quote it separately.
User accounts
On portals – registration and login, a personal account, and posting, editing and setting the expiry of ads or profiles.
Moderation and paid services
An administrator approves or rejects ads, and users can pay to boost an ad or buy a package. We connect Paysera, Montonio or Stripe payments.
Map and multiple languages
Ads or listings can be shown on a map, and the portal can run in several languages; each extra language adds 15% to the project price if you supply the translations, or about 20% if we translate the texts.
SEO for categories and products
Categories, products and ads have their own URLs, titles and structured data, so they can appear in search for specific queries.
Price
How much does a product catalogue or portal cost?
Price from
€799
A product catalogue website without a basket costs from €799: this price usually covers categories, product pages, search and an enquiry form. We quote filters (by type and number) and Excel product imports separately. For a classifieds, news or membership portal, we give the price after assessing the features: how many user types, which paid services, and whether you need a map and integrations. We suggest building a larger portal in stages, so the first version can launch sooner.
Prices include all taxes – no VAT is added (we are not VAT-registered). The final price depends on the project, and we write it into the contract together with the timeline before work starts.
What the price depends on
- The number of categories, products and attributes, and the type and number of filters.
- Whether we enter products by hand or import them from an Excel, CSV or XML file, and whether the import needs to repeat automatically.
- Whether you need user accounts, how many user types (e.g. private individual, company, administrator) and with what permissions.
- Paid services: ad boosts, packages, membership fees, invoices.
- A map, comparison, email notifications, multiple languages.
- Design: an adapted template or a custom design.
Additional costs
- Hosting for a catalogue from €70/year. A portal with many users and photos may need a more powerful virtual private server (VPS) – from €29/month; we give the exact price based on the scope.
- Payment provider integration – from €150 per provider; the provider's fees are paid directly to them.
- Maintenance from €29/month; new modules after launch under a separate quote or at €30/hour.
Timeline
How long does it take to build a catalogue or portal?
A product catalogue website usually takes about 10 working days from receiving the deposit and content; filters and product imports extend the timeline. For a portal, we give the timeline after assessing the features: the first version with the core features can launch sooner, and other parts can be added in stages.
| Project | What's included | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Product catalogue | categories, product pages, search, enquiry for each product | about 10 working days |
| Catalogue with automatic import | scheduled product updates from a supplier's file | quoted individually |
| News portal | categories, several editors with different permissions, archive | quoted individually |
| Classifieds portal | user accounts, ads, moderation, paid services | quoted individually, in stages |

Examples
Typical projects
A manufacturer's product catalogue
- Situation
- For example, a metal products manufacturer has several hundred products whose price depends on quantity, and the descriptions are in a PDF catalogue that sales managers send by email.
- Solution
- A catalogue with categories, filters by dimensions and material, technical data tables and an enquiry button for each product. The data is imported from an Excel file.
- Result
- Enquiries that name the product, a catalogue they update themselves, and the option to switch on a basket later.
A regional classifieds portal
- Situation
- For example, an entrepreneur wants a portal where local people post items for sale free of charge, and businesses pay for boosted ads.
- Solution
- A first version with registration, ad posting, moderation and paid boosts; a map and ad packages for businesses come in the second stage.
- Result
- A portal that launches sooner, and the option to expand it based on how people actually use it.
A model comparison website
- Situation
- For example, an equipment importer wants customers to compare several models by power, dimensions and price themselves, instead of asking by phone.
- Solution
- A model database with a comparison table where customers choose 2–4 models, plus an enquiry form next to the comparison.
- Result
- Fewer repeat questions, and enquiries from customers who already know what they want.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
A catalogue has no basket or online payment: the buyer chooses a product and sends an enquiry, and you confirm the price and terms separately. This works well when the price depends on quantity, installation or the customer. A catalogue costs from €799, an online store from €999.
