Layout design: catalogues, leaflets, presentations and PDFs
Layout design means arranging text, photos and graphics across pages in a single style, so that a catalogue, leaflet or presentation is easy to read and ready to print. Saitai.lt designers lay out publications in your brand style and prepare the final PDF files for print and the web; we don't print publications – you pass the file on to the printer yourself. We quote the price once we have assessed the number of pages and the material you supply.
In short
- Price
- quoted after assessment – depends on the number of pages, the complexity of the layout and whether the texts and photos are ready; no VAT is added
- What we lay out
- product catalogues, price lists, leaflets, brochures, presentations, annual reports, manuals, interactive PDFs
- Files
- PDF for print (CMYK, with bleed), a lighter PDF for the web and email, and images for social media if needed
- Timeline
- leaflet – usually 2–4 working days; for a catalogue or brochure, we give the timeline together with the price
- Printing
- we don't print or send files to the printer – you get a final file prepared to your chosen printer's specifications
- Experience
- graphic design since 1998
- Where we work
- remotely, all over Lithuania; meetings in Vilnius by appointment, arranged by phone
Who it’s for
- You have a product list in an Excel spreadsheet and photos, and your customers or distributors need a neat catalogue in PDF format.
- You're preparing for a trade show or fair and need a leaflet, price list or poster that matches your logo and colours.
- Your sales presentation has been added to by different people at different times, so the slides all look different.
- You need a manual, an annual report or a company presentation to send by email and publish on your website.
- The printer sent your file back: wrong colours, no bleed, or photo resolution too low.
- An old publication needs updating – prices, products or contact details have changed – but you no longer have the original files, only a PDF.
When it’s not the right fit
- You need someone to print and deliver the publication. We don't arrange printing: we prepare the files, and you order and pay for the printing directly with the printer.
- You don't have the texts or product photos yet. The layout is built on your material: we can write texts separately and edit existing photos, but the products need to be photographed first.
- You need a catalogue of hundreds of pages every week from online store or accounting data. In that case, an automatically generated PDF is a better fit – that is programming work, which we quote separately.
Included
What you get
Sample pages
First we prepare the cover and 1–2 inside pages. Once you approve them, we lay out the rest in the same style – so you make the key decisions before most of the work is done.
Layout in your brand style
We use your logo, colours and fonts. If you don't have a brand identity yet, we choose colours and fonts to go with your logo, or suggest creating a brand identity first (from €390).
Catalogue structure
A consistent product card, price tables, contents, page numbering and category markers, so that buyers can find the product they need in seconds.
Photo editing
We crop the photos, even out their colours and brightness, and remove backgrounds if needed, so that the products in the catalogue look like a single series.
Print files
A PDF with CMYK colours, bleed (usually 3 mm), a safe area and 300 dpi photos. If your printer has its own requirements, we prepare the file to match.
PDF for the web
A lighter PDF for email and your website – with working links and a clickable table of contents that takes you to the right page. This makes a long document easy to navigate.
Presentations
Slides in a single style, clear charts and diagrams, shorter texts. We prepare the presentation as a PDF or an editable template – we agree the format before we start.
Layout check
Before handing over, we check that all the text fits, that the page numbers and contents are correct, that the links work and that no photos are too low-resolution for print.
Price
How much does layout design cost?
Price
On request
We quote the price for layout design once we have assessed the publication – within 1 working day of your enquiry. The price depends mostly on the number of pages, whether pages repeat (e.g. identical product cards in a catalogue), and whether the texts and photos are already prepared. Additional work not covered in the quote costs €30 per hour or is quoted separately.
Prices include all taxes – no VAT is added (we are not VAT-registered). The final price depends on the project: we confirm it and the timeline before work starts.
What the price depends on
- Number of pages or slides, and the format.
- Whether pages repeat: identical product cards are quicker to lay out than designing every page separately.
- How much material is ready: final texts and good-quality photos, or information that still needs sorting out.
- How many photos need editing: cropping, background removal, colour matching.
- How many versions you need: for print, for the web, in several languages.
- Deadline: urgent jobs are scheduled separately.
Additional costs
- Printing – at the printer's prices, which depend on the print run, paper and finish.
- Paid fonts or stock photos – at their licence prices, if needed; we usually choose ones that are free for commercial use.
- Copywriting, translation or proofreading – separately, if the texts don't exist yet or are needed in another language.
- Changes after the layout is approved, such as changed texts or new pages – €30 per hour, or under a separate quote agreed in writing.
Timeline
How long does layout design take?
We usually prepare a leaflet or a one-page price list in 2–4 working days. For a catalogue, brochure or presentation, we give the timeline together with the price, as it depends on the number of pages. The timeline runs from when we receive all the material, so we work fastest when we get the texts and photos in one go.
| Publication | What we prepare | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Leaflet, price list or poster | 1–2 page layout, PDF for print and the web | usually 2–4 working days |
| Presentation | slides in a single style, charts, PDF or template | depends on the number of slides |
| Catalogue or brochure | structure, sample pages, full layout, PDF for print and the web | depends on the number of pages |
| Publication update | changes to prices, products or contact details in an existing layout | depends on the extent of the changes |
Process
How it works
- Enquiry and material1 working day
You tell us what kind of publication you need, how many pages it will have and where it will be used. You send us the texts, photos, logo and a few examples of publications you like.
- Quote and advance payment1 working day
We give you the price, timeline and formats of the final files. We start work once we receive the 50% advance payment.
- Sample pages1–3 working days
We prepare the cover and 1–2 inside pages showing the fonts, colours and how the products or texts are arranged.
- Full layoutdepends on the scope
We lay out the remaining pages in the approved style, edit the photos and build the table of contents.
- Revisions1–2 working days
We revise the layout based on your feedback, which you can write in an email or mark directly in the PDF.
- Files for print and the web1 working day
We hand over the PDF for print and the PDF for the web. If the printer has any comments on the files, we fix them accordingly.

Examples
Typical layout projects
Product catalogue for distributors
- Situation
- For example, a manufacturer has 120 products in an Excel spreadsheet and photos on different backgrounds, and its distributors are asking for a catalogue with prices.
- Solution
- A consistent product card, category markers and contents, matched photo backgrounds; a PDF for print and a light PDF with links to the online store.
- Result
- A catalogue that can be emailed and printed, and a layout that only needs updating next year.
Leaflet for a trade show
- Situation
- For example, a service company is exhibiting at a trade show in two weeks and wants a leaflet with its services, prices and a QR code linking to its website.
- Solution
- A bi-fold leaflet in the company's brand style, with texts cut down to the essentials and the file prepared to the chosen printer's specifications.
- Result
- A file the printer accepts first time, and the same layout as a PDF that can be sent by email.
A presentation in a single style
- Situation
- For example, a sales team uses a presentation that several people have added to at different times: different fonts, colours and charts.
- Solution
- A presentation template in the brand style, redesigned slides, consistent charts and diagrams, shorter texts.
- Result
- A presentation in a single style and a template for new slides, so it doesn't look patchy again a few months later.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Final texts in a Word or Google Docs document, photos at their original size (not from social media or messaging apps), your logo in vector format (SVG, PDF or AI) and, for a catalogue, a product spreadsheet in Excel format. If the texts change after the layout is done, the work will take longer, so it's worth finalising them before we start.
